Shop Your Way expands to Uber Eats! Earn $2 CASHBACK per order!

I want to introduce the great partnership that Uber Eats and Shop Your Way have and how you can earn points from eating yummy food at your home!

I’m a horrible cook. I try to follow recipes but in the end I usually skip ahead five steps, completely ruining the meal. I’ve tried those boxed meal programs and they’re ok, for a short while. They get expensive and the variety isn’t always what I’m looking for.

Inevitably, we’ll be sitting at home and realize that it’s raining (this is Seattle after all). That means I have 0% desire to go out and get any food in the rain… enter our friend, Uber Eats.

What is Uber Eats?

Need a ride? Call Uber. Need food? Call Uber Eats! Uber Eats is a food delivery platform that makes getting great food from your favorite local restaurants as easy as requesting a ride. The Uber Eats app connects you with a broad range of local restaurants and food, so you can order from the full menus of your local favorites whenever you want.

Pick the restaurant, sort by cuisine, check the estimated deliver times, and boom! Food’s on its way!

Shop Your Way Points for Uber Eats

We’ve been big fans of  Shop Your Way for a very long time. It seems that so many people focus on the free flights and the free hotels but often forget that they still need the basics in life. From toilet paper, toothpaste, canned tuna, and deodorant to clothes, appliances, garage door openers and more, Shop Your Way runs the gamut of everything you could need.

Shop Your Way (or SYW for short) has had an ongoing partnership with Uber now for a long time, and we’ve certainly taken advantage of it. By linking your SYW account to your Uber account, you can earn $2 CASHBACK in points for every ride you take AND now you can earn $2 CASHBACK in points back for every Uber Eats order.

All you’ve got to do is link your Uber account to your Shop Your Way accounts. You can do so by clicking here. Just enter your information for Uber and your accounts will be joined.

How do you get $5 CASHBACK in points?

Once you get signed up, you can send your own referral link to your friends and family. You’ll get $5 CASHBACK in points every time your friend signs up. And I KNOW that probably all your friends are using Uber on a daily or weekly basis. This is a huge way for you to rack up points and for them to start saving on their orders.

A Simple Walkthrough from Start to Finish

We wanted to give you an idea of what the process looks like so you can see how easy it is. Ben decided that he wanted some Pho, so we decided to order from our of our favorite places here in Seattle.

Set your delivery time

All the menu items are easily listed so just pick what you want, add to the cart, and voila! There’s something really good about the broth from this place, so I happily always order more!

Food, yes please!

Once you place your order, you can get a copy of your receipt which shows all the fees (including the booking fee) which now doesn’t sting as much considering the $2 CASHBACK in points.

Do these points really post?

I actually had someone come up at one of our frequent traveler universities and ask if the points really post to the account. With that said, here’s proof that points actually post AND that you can redeem them when you go shopping at www.ShopYourWay.com, Sears, Kmart, Land’s End or stores near you. Once the points post to you account, the fun begins.

See? The points are there!

The Basics

Turns out that we just ran out of Tide Pods and I was getting low on mouthwash. Obviously, we wouldn’t want to go out in the street with the taste of Tide Pods in our mouth, so the mouthwash was CRUCIAL!

Seriously though, don’t eat Tide Pods. Why would you do that…

Anyway, since both of these items are in the $25 free shipping category, I’m going to redeem the points, AND get free shipping. It’s a win all around.

Just add the items into your cart…

Tide and Colgate are needed

Log into your account, and then keep on proceeding until the checkout screen appears…

Kmart Shopping Cart

And lastly click on “Redeem Points” to offset the entire purchase. Shipping, taxes, it’s all gone!

Our favorite Shop Your Way Redemption

Back in November we decided we needed some sun and some relaxation. Since Hawaii is only a 5 hour flight from Seattle, getting away for an extended weekend is a pretty easy task.

It also just so happens that there is a Kmart in Lihue!

Anyone who knows Hawaii knows that there are three things you have to bring back as a souvenir to your friends and family. 1) Macadamia Nuts, 2) Chocolate Covered Macadamia Nuts, 3) More Chocolate Covered Macadamia nuts!

This Kmart has a MASSIVE section with every conceivable type of Hawaiian Host and Mauna Loa tasty treat that you can imagine.

We might have gone overboard. As you can see, we dropped almost $50 on this stuff…

Oops. Too many macadamia nuts

Sign Up Now!

Again, if you haven’t signed up for Shop Your Way, do so here. You’ll get $2 CASHBACK in points for every Uber Eats and Uber Ride and also get $5 CASHBACK in points for each person that you refer to the program. Just sit back and watch the points roll in!
