Double Miles on Aerolineas Argentinas’ Club Condor

Aerolineas Argentinas, the national flag carrier of Argentina, is offering perhaps their most generous promotion so far. This comes after the airline got pretty close to winning a few of the categories they were nominated for during the Freddie Awards.

Any Aerolineas Plus members traveling between Buenos Aires and Miami or Buenos Aires and New York have the chance to get double the miles if they fly in Club Condor class – Aerolineas Argentinas’ premium class cabin. The promotion is valid from 05/01 and it will end 06/30, and it applies to any of the following flights: AR1302, AR1304, AR1306, AR1303, AR1305, AR1307, AR1300 and AR1301.

In order to qualify, one must be an Aerolineas Plus member by the time the flight takes place and the number must be added to the reservation prior to flying. It does not apply to anyone flying on award tickets or flying as a non-rev, as expected.

Normally, passengers flying the EZE-MIA route can expect to earn 13,198 miles for the round trip, but with this promo, they would earn 26,396 miles instead. For the EZE-JFK route, they would end up accruing a total 31,656 miles.

The extra bonus miles do not count towards elite status qualification, but are sufficient to redeem for a domestic round-trip flight within Argentina and a few other nearby destinations. For flights between Buenos Aires and Miami, miels can be redeemed for flights to BahÃa Blanca, CÃ³rdoba, Mar del Plata, ParanÃ¡, Rosario, Santa Fe, Santa Rosa, RÃo Cuarto, Catamarca, Chapelco, Corrientes, Formosa, IguazÃº, Jujuy, La Rioja, Mendoza, NeuquÃ©n, Posadas, Puerto Madryn, Resistencia, RÃo Hondo, San Juan, San Luis, San Rafael, Santiago del Estero, Salta, Trelew, TucumÃ¡n, Vedma, Montevideo and Punta del Este. Miles earned on the Buenos Aires and New York route can be redeemed for round trip flights to BahÃa Blanca, CÃ³rdoba, Mar del Plata, ParanÃ¡, Rosario, Santa Fe, Santa Rosa, RÃo Cuarto, Catamarca, Chapelco, Corrientes, Formosa, IguazÃº, Jujuy, La Rioja, Mendoza, NeuquÃ©n, Posadas, Puerto Madryn, Resistencia, RÃo Hondo, San Juan, San Luis, San Rafael, Santiago del Estero, Salta, Trelew, TucumÃ¡n, Vedma, Montevideo, Punta del Este, AsunciÃ³n, Curitiba, FlorianÃ³polis, Porto Alegre and Santiago de Chile.

Something to keep in mind is that in order to qualify for the double miles promotion, you must fly on their premium cabin Club Condor, but since that is the only requirement, you can obtain double miles even if you booked yourself on their deeply discounted Promo Club Condor rate at booking.
