Bluffworks Meridian Shirt 40% off Sale
It’s no news at this point that I like to travel light. I got a lot of practice before No Mas Coach started, when I had all the time and flexibility to travel and none of the money (and not a ton of miles yet). I had to find ways not to incur into extra fees when checking bags and overall just didn’t want to be bogged down dragging bulky luggage.
It’s been great. I’m yet to find myself in a situation where I want something I haven’t brought along. Last year the guys from Bluffworks sent us a few items from their collection and I have been in love with them, particularly their travel blazer and pants, which make me feel really pimped out. I did, however, for the longest time ignored the shirt they sent me, partly because I dropped some weight and it didn’t fit me right and partly because wearing shirts isn’t really my thing.
I did start wearing it a few months back after we had a mishap with our dry cleaner’s. It was literally the only shirt in my closet and damn did I like it. Even with it being larger than I should have gotten, I am in love with the fabric itself, which is really lightweight and wrinkle-free, not to mention it’s machine-washable like their blazer. As a bonus, they come with the nicest metal collar stays which I use in all my other shirts too now. Since it is slightly larger, and definitely longer than I would prefer it (most shirts are, considering I am 5′ 6″), I had no choice but to tuck it inside my jeans – hello, eighties! To my surprise, not a single wrinkle in sight when I got home after an 8-hour work day.
I’m sold on the product, the make, the design, and now that they’re running a 40% sale on the Bluffworks Meridian shirt, I’m definitely getting them in my right size. And they do offer free shipping and exchanges within the US, so not a big deal at all if you don’t get the sizing right. No discount code necessary, the shirts already show the discounted price on their website.
Having said that, I have been keeping a close eye on the journal on their site, which is written by Bluffwork’s founder, Stefan. Mainly because he’s pretty inspirational when it comes to entrepreneurship but mostly because he keeps talking about great trips to far flung places which makes me jealous. In one of those posts, he talks about creating a wardrobe capsule in order to minimize the amount of clothing he packs for a trip. I decided I’m going to be doing the same. It’ll mostly be a few items from Bluffworks that I already own, plus a couple of better fitting shirts I’ll order during this sale, as well as some versatile shoes, shorts (tsk, tsk, Bluffworks, I did not see any shorts on your website, guys!) and swim trunks.
I’ll be posting more about it, including a complete list of everything that will be in my carry-on, as we get closer to our awesome all first class trip to the Maldives beginning of November. Stay tuned for more!
