Wow: Europe to Australia and New Zealand in Business Class from $1,730

Australia and New Zealand usually aren’t the cheapest or easiest places to get to on points. When something does pop up, the best advice is run, don’t walk.

The Deals

a bridge over water with a building in the foregroundAs Travel-Dealz points out, Swiss is currently offering a companion deal out of Amsterdam and there are some absolutely fantastic fares to be had. While there are over 20 cities available in this sale, the real gems are to Australia and New Zealand. Starting at just $1,730, you’ll be able to spend over 40 hours in top notch business classes.

From Europe, you’ll fly on Swiss’ 777 which features their flagship business class product. Connecting on to Oceania, you’ll fly business class with Singapore Airlines or Cathay Pacific, two of the best in their own right.

To take advantage of these deals, you’ll need to book for two. I’m sure some of you can find a way to get creative and make new friends quickly though 🙂

A few other fares that jump out in this deal are Johannesburg from $1,232 and Buenos Aires from $1,674 round trip.

The Dates

Availability is disappearing quickly, but the best availability is generally found from May through October. Google Flights can be a little buggy when searching for dates. Thankfully, Swiss has a handy calendar to find the best available dates. Once you’ve found those dates, you can either book directly with Swiss or plug those dates into Skyscanner for an even lower fare. If you’re feeling too lazy to search, don’t worry. We’ve got a couple of the cheapest dates below.

If you’re feeling a bit more luxe, SWISS is also offering a companion fare in first class. Availability is scarce, but you’ll be looking at about $3,000 round trip to Australia and New Zealand. While the prices aren’t cheap, they’re still relative steals when you consider tickets routinely cost over $10,000 on this route. If you’re not sure if first class is worth it, just ask Jon.

Final Thoughts

Short of a “bank error in your favor” (wink wink), this is as good of a deal as you’re going to find to Australia and New Zealand. While the sale is scheduled until March 1st, I highly doubt availability will last that long. Good luck and happy booking. Let us know in the comments if you were able to snag this deal.
