The Marriott Bonvoy Excellent New Promotion for 2023 is Here
Marriott Hotels has launched their nights and points promotion for the first part of 2023, and for the first time in a long time, it’s a good one. In the past, the promotions have been lackluster at best. Considering that elite status wasn’t extended for many people after the Covid-19 extensions, this is an amazing way to get Elite status with Marriott even faster.
Earn Twice Each Night
No special requirements, no counting nights, no complicated stay requirements. This is one of Marriott’s best promotions and easiest to decipher.
For every paid night between February 7 and April 23 you get 1,000 bonus points and 1 additional Elite Night Credit, plain and simple. That means that if you have 15 paid nights in the earning period, you’ll earn 15 nights from your stays, 15 additional nights from the promotion, and 15,000 points bonus points on top of whatever other points you’d normally earn.

Registration of your Marriott Bonvoy® account is required. Marriott Bonvoy members who register for this promotion by April 9, 2023, will earn 1,000 bonus points per eligible paid night, plus one bonus Elite Night Credit per eligible paid night, during the 75-night promotion earning period. The promotion earning period is for eligible paid nights completed between February 7, 2023, and April 23, 2023, at participating Marriott Bonvoy properties. Only eligible paid stays completed after registration and during the promotion earning period will qualify toward the promotion. Award redemption stay nights including Cash + Points Awards, Free Night Awards, or a points redemption are not eligible for the promotion. Rates available through most third-party online retailers and select travel agency rates do not qualify for this promotion (“Non-Qualifying Rateâ€). Note that if you’re on a reward night or you’re offsetting the cost of your stay with cash + points, those stays won’t count. Also, if you’re staying at any one of the clubs, residences, or apartments, those stays won’t count either.
How To Get Marriott Bonvoy Elite Status Fast
The requirements for Marriott Bonvoy Elite status are very easy to calculate. As a reminder, here’s what it takes to get to each level of Marriott Bonvoy Elite Status:
- Silver Elite Status = 10 nights
- Gold Elite Status = 25 nights
- Platinum Elite Status = 50 nights
- Titanium Elite Status = 75 nights
- Ambassador Elite Status = 100 nights and $23,000 in annual spend
If you can manage to front load a lot of your stays during this promotion, you can cut those requirements in half. Staying 25 nights net you a total of 50 elite nights, gaining you Platinum Elite status for the rest of this year and all of the next.
Stay only 13 nights and you’ll get Gold status, entitling you to a 2pm late checkout, bonus points on every stay, and a room upgrade if available.
What are the Benefits of Marriott Bonvoy Elite Status?
Making the most of your stay means having elite status at hotel chains. Marriott Bonvoy is very generous with their Elite status benefits, especially once you’re at Platinum at above.
Silver Elite Status
While it doesn’t provide much, you will get bonus points, free Wi-Fi, and access to special member rates.
Gold Elite Status
Late check out until 2pm, 25% bonus points on every stay, and room upgrades come with this 2nd tier status
Platinum ElitÄ™ Status
Here’s where things start to get good. Your bonus points double to 50%, upgrades to and including suites are unlocked, and you’ll get a welcome gift. Typically that gift will be points or breakfast (hint, choose breakfast)
Titanium Elite Status
While not a huge difference over Platinum status, you’ll now earn 75% bonus points, while your upgrade and arrival gift remains the same. You should get preferential treatment over Platinums at properties however.
Ambassador Elite Status
The most elite and exclusive level of Marriott Bonvoy Elite status, you’ll get a personal ambassador to help you with all your stays and needs. Also, you have access to Your24, where you can decide the hour of your check in and check out, allowing you the ability to check in late and check out late as well.
