Las Vegas Man Breaks through Airport Fence, Dry Humps Airplane

If you would have asked me if I was going to write about this on a Saturday night, or if I have “dry humping an airplane” on your 2020 bingo card, I’d say you were insane… but 2020 never disappoints.

Just another interesting day in Las Vegas. A man crashed his truck through an airport fence and rushed to an airplane. He proceeded to the wing of the air craft and started… dry humping… the winglet.

Can’t make this $#it up.

What happened

According to the twitter feed of the event, a man drove his truck through the fence in Las Vegas and proceeded onto the tarmac. He then (unsure how, exactly) got on the wing of Alaska Airlines flight 1367 from LAS-PDX.

In the almost minute long video, you can see the man climbing and walking on the wing. He then proceeds to get on to the winglet and go to town. At that point you can hear the flight attendant on the loud speaker announce “The police will need to exit the aircraft through the wing exit.

He was seen taking off his shoes and throwing them at the police on the ground.

After a little bit of the police not quite figuring out how to handle this, the man loses his grip and falls with a very loud thud. The police circle around him and apprehend him

In this other video you can see from another angle just what happens.

Alaska Airlines released a statement:

Around 2 p.m. PST, Alaska Airlines flight 1367 from Las Vegas to Portland was preparing for take-off when the pilot noticed an individual advancing towards the aircraft. The pilots notified the tower. Law enforcement was dispatched and able to apprehend the individual. Our guests and employees are safe and we are working with law enforcement. The plane has returned to the gate for a full inspection.

2020 y’all… am I right?

  1. I’m so glad you are resisting the urge to blog for the sake of blogging and instead giving us interesting insights, news, and stories on the adventures of traveling! Can’t wait to see what emerges from all this pent up demand (for travel, that is) in 2021.
