Delta One Flash Sale: 98,000 Miles Round Trip to Europe

Delta is widely regarded as the best of the “Big Three” US airlines these days. Unfortunately, their Skymiles frequent flier program often leaves something to be desired.

The airline was the first of the Big Three to get rid of  award charts. This left you guessing what’s a good price for an award ticket and what’s not. However, on occasion, Delta has offered flash sales, allowing you to actually get some decent value out of your Delta Skymiles. Just a few months ago, Jon found a fantastic deal for 22,000 miles round trip between the US and Europe. Now, Delta is back with another flash sale. This time though, it’s for the big seats up front.

The Deals

Delta is currently running a flash sale for flights in their Delta One business class for just 98,000 miles round trip. Considering they often charge more than that for a one-way ticket, this is a great value. The Delta Skymiles flash sale only runs until tomorrow (Nov 14), so you’ll need to act fast.a screenshot of a calendar

You’ll have to book this as a round trip flight to take advantage this deal. All routes included in this sale will cost 98,000 miles round trip plus taxes and fees. Cities like London will feature the highest fees (~$300). If you’re looking to avoid those, consider other cities in Europe like Dublin or Zurich. Even if the cities listed aren’t your perfect destination, getting over to Europe is half the battle. Travel within Europe is super cheap and easy once you’re there.

The Dates

The sale is available for travel starting on December 24th and must be completed by April 18th. All travel also requires a minimum 7 day stay and maximum of 30 days. While the deal is only valid for Winter and early Spring, this can be a great time to visit Europe. Shoulder season often features smaller crowds and cheaper prices. It won’t be shorts and t-shirt weather, but the buildings are just as beautiful in March as they are in July.

While searching several routes, availability was pretty wide open. Delta makes it easy to search flexible dates, even searching up to a month at a time.

Final Thoughts

It’s not often we consider Delta Skymiles a “good value” these days. However, 98,000 miles round trip for business class is a fantastic value. It’s less than you’d pay with Alaska, American, and United.

If you’re thinking about visiting Europe over the next few months, this is a fantastic opportunity to do it. Act fast though, as these deals will only last until tomorrow at the latest.

    • Cameron – I’m able to get through, but if you’re still having problems try the app or a different browser. If that doesn’t work, you could always call them since this is an advertised sale.
