Alaska Airlines and Starbucks Partner for Holiday Giveaways
I always like to think of the holiday season starting after Thanksgiving. It gives us a month of festivities without hitting holiday fatigue. For some people though, it can’t start soon enough. For others, the Starbucks red holiday cups mark the kick-off of the holiday season.
If you’re one of those people, put on your jingle bells because the holidays are almost here. Alaska Airlines is partnering with Starbucks to bring everyone a little extra holiday cheer.
Starbucks Holiday Cup Giveaway
Tomorrow, November 7th, Starbucks is giving away free limited-edition reusable red cups to customers. All you have to do is order a a holiday beverage and you’ll receive a free reusable cup as long as supplies last. Reusable cups are a great way to reduce your carbon footprint. If you can do that for free, there’s no reason not to get one of these. Ben recently shared some great ways you can reduce your environmental impact if you’re looking for more ways to make a difference.
Plus, if you’re already a Starbucks regular, it’s basically a free reusable cup for just continuing your morning routine.
In addition to the free cups, you’ll also get discounted coffee after 2pm. From November 7th to January 7th, just bring your reusable red cup and you’ll get 50 cents off a 16-ounce holiday beverage. You’ve already got your free cup, so why not get more discounts?
Starbucks x Alaska Airlines
As Chandler Bing would say, “Could I be any more Seattle?” The two Seattle institutions have decided to come together to offer customers some cool promotions.
From November 7th to the 10th, customers carrying Starbucks holiday cups will get to board Alaska Airlines flights early. It doesn’t matter if your cup is empty or full, you’ll still be eligible for early boarding.
In addition to early boarding, select west coast Alaska Airlines flights will have “holiday-themed aircraft”. I’m not sure what that exactly entails, but I’m all for something to make flights more festive. A few flights may even have some Starbucks treats waiting for passengers on their seats!
Final Thoughts
If you’re a big fan of Starbucks or their holiday cups, this is definitely exciting news for you. Personally, I won’t be taking advantage of this offer (I’m outside of the States), but free reusable coffee cups are always great to have. And plus…free.
If you already go to Starbucks though, why not get something free too? If you’ve got an Alaska flight coming up over the next few days, even better.
Being an avgeek though, I think I’m most excited to see the festive Alaska Airlines planes. If you end up on one, be sure to share it with us on social media!
