Star Alliance Business Class Sale, India to USA for under $1100!
We’ve run tons of business class sales here at No Mas Coach, as we truly believe that there are always deals out there if you just look hard enough.
Here is just a sampling of the few sales that we’ve run over the past year:
Is Delta’s Business Class Sale a good deal?
MISTAKE FARE: Business Class to Europe from $700!!
Cheap Business Class Tickets out of Barcelona!
MISTAKE FARE: Europe Business Class to World, $630 and up.
British Airways Business Class Fare SALE, Act Fast!
DEAL: Business Class sale to China from West Coast
Business Class Sale to the US from $1,000 Round Trip!
Well, here comes another crazy good deal, and you can actually earn some decent miles with it!
Via Secret Flying, you can fly from India to New York for 1,000 Euros. We’re not sure if this is an error fare, a mistake fare, or perhaps just a glitch in the OTA (online travel agency) but regardless, if you’re able to take advantage of this, it could be a huge opportunity to earn miles on Star Alliance carriers.
The dates seem to be from March until June, and the options are quite varied. If you read into the T&C of the “Z” class fare, you’ve got to stay at least 4 days and you can return up to 12 months from the original date.
Here’s the great part about this fare. Since it’s a Z class business fare, you can credit to United where you will earn 100% of the flown miles for both qualifying and redemption. Since United went to a revenue based model it’s been harder to earn a decent mileage count. Now, with this ticket, you can earn mile for mile!
The mileage is 8,315 one way according to GCMap:
So if you’re crediting to United you’re going to earn 16,630 miles for the trip
But wait, there’s more! If you decide to credit this flight to Aegean Airlines, you’ll earn even more, and get closer to Star Alliance Gold status!
Business Class tickets earn 150% here, so you’d actually earn 24,945 miles. If you already have Aegean gold status, this would give you just enough miles to re-qualify and keep your status. If you’re new to the program, it only takes 48,000 miles to earn Gold Status, so you’re over halfway there!
We flew Egypt Air earlier this year and could not have been happier. It was a perfectly find airline (albeit it a dry one) and the service onboard was fantastic. And their china was pretty as well 🙂
If you’re able to take advantage of this deal, go for it. Getting from the Middle East to the US for around $1,000 in business class isn’t easy, and at least this way you’re going to earn some fantastic miles along with the sale.
