Is Delta’s Business Class Sale a good deal?
We’re always trying to find good deals for you on (when we can) business class tickets, but don’t be fooled by a lot of fare sales out there. On Delta’s main website this week, they’re announcing a “Delta One Sale!” but don’t be fooled, not everything that glitters is gold.
We’ve posted in the past about a lot of business class sales all over the world. I can honestly say that each of these is a fantastic deal, and make sure that you subscribe to our blog to get the latest information as soon as it’s released.
Per Delta’s website here:
Make it a trip to remember in one of the most exclusive cabins in the sky. On your way to Europe, take advantage of the new Delta One premium experience, complete with complimentary Delta Sky Club® access, delicious menu selections, flat-bed seats with direct aisle access and more luxurious amenities.
With great fares and historically low exchange rates, this may be a once-in-a-lifetime chance to save twice – first on flights, and again on hotels, dining, shopping and attractions when you get there.
Sounds good, right? Who wouldn’t want free sky club access, a nice bed, blah blah etc. I know that I do! The seats on Delta One aren’t the best for a tall guy like me because of the foot cubbies, and they aren’t the most comfortable seat, but the Westin bedding can’t be beat.
But let’s take a look at the ACTUAL “sale” prices…
Now, I don’t know about you but perhaps there’s ONE in here that’s a good deal, that being New York – Paris. Maybe that’s what they meant by Delta One sale 🙂
$3,000-4,000+ seems a bit steep for me, especially considering we’ve seen coach fares going for sub-$500 and business class going for $2k from the West Coast.
In case you do want to take advantage of this sale, Outbound travel from U.S. to Europe is between June 23, 2017 and August 31, 2017 and you’ve got to wrap up the travel one month after you start.
