British Airways AARP discount EXTENDED through 2018
I love being an AARP member. Yes, I’m in my mid thirties and yes, I know that most people who are a part of AARP are 50 and over. There’s something very special about seeing the mail come in and getting my monthly AARP newsletter. The best benefit with AARP is their British Airways discount. What’s so cool about it? It used to be only good through March of 2018, but now it’s good all the way through December of 2018!
For the uninitiated, AARP and British Airways have had an amazing partnership now for quite some time. Simply by booking your flight through the AARP portal, you used to be able to save up to $400 per ticket. This is a great way to be able to score some big discounts, even if you only are flying in coach class tickets. And if we’re being honest, British Airways business class isn’t that bad. I find it perfectly find for the trip across the pond.
That discount has now been capped out at $200 per ticket, but that’s still a ridiculously good deal for only a $8/year membership!
The discounts are as follows:
Coach Tickets are $65
Premium Economy tickets are $130
Business/First Class is $200
Simply visit ba.com/aarp and log in with your AARP details. Once you’re there, it’ll take you to a special booking page where the discount will be “baked in” to the cost of the ticket. You should see that the price of the ticket has been discounted by $100 each way (for business) or $32 (for coach). From what I can tell, this is valid on almost any route and ticket pairing that they offer. You can even use the discount on Iberia and American Airlines flights too.
We’ve used this discount at least a dozen times as we’ve found flights to Portugal, Spain, Greece, and more. Honestly, what other discount in the world, for only an $8 membership fee, gives you THOUSANDS of dollars in annual savings?

How do you get it for $8/yr? I went to sign up and I only saw it for as cheap as $12/yr.

You can get a multi year for $12 a year, but even at the $16 a year plan, your spouse is free. So it’s $8 for Ben and $8 for me.
