Alitalia offering 20% off flights until Tuesday
Looking for some cheap summer travel around Italy, Europe, Northern Africa, and the Middle East? Alitalia’s got the answer for you. From now until Tuesday, Alitalia will give you 20% off your flights between those destinations, just by entering a promo code.
Like all things Italian, there’s always a bit of paperwork and it’s a little bit complicated…
The promotion “Where would you like to have lunch today?” offers flights from Italy to short haul destinations for 20% off. The steps are pretty simple (as long as you understand Italian Bureaucracy).
HOW IT WORKS
1. Take note of your discount code
2. Choose your flight in Economy Classic and Economy Saver
4. Click on “discount code”
5. Insert the code and press “Apply ”
6. Continue and go to the payment
See if you can figure out what’s missing from up there? ๐ Also, further terms state:
The discount code can be used exclusively for bookings each with only 1 single adult passenger.
For reservations with more adult passengers is possibile to use the discount making separate purchases.
So, you can book this for more than one person, but you’ve got to book them all on individual tickets. While this might not be such a bad thing, remember that elite benefits transfer to those who are on the same reservation as you are, so you might run into issues with things like boarding, baggage waivers, etc.
How’s it work?
Here’s a sample flight from Rome to Casablanca
Price before discount was 245.41 Euros, and after applying code MY20…
If you notice the almost 50 euro discount came on everything. Taxes, additional charges, service charge, everything. It’s a flat 20% across the board. Perhaps that’s why Alitalia is losing money ๐
Cheap Summer Travel
If you’re thinking of jumping around Europe, this is a fantastic way to save some money, especially considering they are giving you 20% off everything, including taxes!
This specific fare booked into V class, but some of the fares could be lower. Keep in mind that if you’re crediting to Delta, some fares only accrue 25% miles, but all fares will earn 100% of the MQM.
