Aeromexico Business Class Sale to and from South America, Under $1,800
Getting to South America can be a challenge from the West Coast because of the lack of decent connections. It seems like there is always a long layover or a flight to Dallas or Miami involved. Luckily there’s currently an AeroMexico Business Class sale, offering a fantastic 777 to Sao Paolo and both 777 and 787 Dreamliner to Buenos Aires.
Last year, when there was a previous Aeromexico Business Class Sale, we had the pleasure of flying them (sorry, I lost the memory card with the photos) and the service was pretty much what I expected. It wasn’t over the top like Emirates but it certainly wasn’t as bad as an American Airlines flight. The crew was helpful, the food was really tasty, and the seats in the Dreamliner were very comfortable, even for my 6 foot 3 frame. I do have a photo of their lovely amenity kit for your enjoyment!
Brazil and Argentina
Right now from the West Coast, you can get to Sao Paolo for only $1,920
And even to Buenos Aires for just $2,019
Dates later in the year only increase slightly with Sao Paolo going to $1,999, still an amazing value.
Even New York wants to join the party at $2,013! Play around with the dates to find a flight without such a long layover. Or, work a nice overnight into your trip.
If you’re starting your journey in Buenos Aires, the fare is even cheaper! An unreal $1,777
Where to credit?
For us, we’ll be crediting these to Alaska Airlines, as they’re a partner. Business Class flights earn mileage flown plus a 25% bonus. But since Aeromexico is a SkyTeam partner, you can of course credit this to KLM/AirFrance/Delta, etc.
If you haven’t been to Argentina yet, we can’t recommend it enough. Right now the dollar is strong and the country is becoming even more welcoming to tourists. The reciprocity fee is gone and you can visit freely! If you’re looking for suggestions of where to go or what to do, just send us an email or leave a comment below.

Just be aware that MEX is a pain to connect through. You have to go through a very slow immigration, customs, and security. Just went through there on the promotion from last fall for cheap coach tickets to SA and it took us more than an hour on the way down at about midnight and about 30-40 minutes at 4 am on the return. We made our connection because we didn’t have any checked bags, but another group that was also on the same connection didn’t. Still worth it for the coach sale, but should be planned around.

Thanks for the heads up. We connected at normal times of the day and it was ok. Must have been because of the odd late night connection times?

Might have been, only times I’ve been through there so only a data point. I think there were 4-5 agents on our outbound and 3 on our inbound.
We also got to take a look at the AM lounge on return and that situation is also a mess since they are doing construction on one of the two in terminal 2.
Just wasn’t a good experience overall for me compared to other international connections.

Sounds like you should go again. 🙂 I think you had a one off. Our experience was perfect.

does this qualify for the Amex Bogo that you’ve written about before?
March 21, 2017
Sorry, I meant World Elite Mastercard, not Amex

Shame that deal died on the 31st of December. I’ve let Mastercard know I’m NOT happy

Anything out of Houston or other Texas cities?

I searched for Dallas and Houston and they looked expensive, I didn’t check out Austin or San Antonio however… You could always do a positioning flight 🙂

I flow last year to central America by aeromexico and I will this year again! I had no complaint at all with Aeromexico…
