ITC Mughal Kaya Kalp Spa Review

The ITC Mughal Kaya Kalp Spa is just another addition to the long list of reasons to stay at this hotel when you’re in Agra. After a dirty and dusty day of exploring the area, coming back to this peaceful retreat is truly an indulgence.

We were staying just one night at the resort, and you can read about our room here. Regardless, we wanted to make sure to check out the area and get an idea of what they offer.

The hallways leading up to the Spa start to set the mood. The lighting is low enough to see where you’re going but also starts to get you relaxing right away.

As you head through the double doors there is small waiting and seating area. A large fitness center is in the first building.

Head outside of there and through a small walkway… and follow the signs for the Kaya Kalp Royal Spa Reception.

At the end of the complex you’ll see two big wooden double doors. Head on it to discover the best kept secret in Agra.

We asked for a tour and they were happy to oblige. This spa is huge, and really should come with a map! There’s a salon

And continuing down the hallway more changing /waiting areas.

There’s yet ANOTHER hallway which leads to more relaxation waiting areas and treatment rooms.

We couldn’t take pictures of the locker rooms (for obvious reasons) but they were plenty spacious with lockers and individual shower stalls / toilets.

Prices you’ll find are reasonable (for American standards) and prices will be slightly less than what you’d find in the states. A 1 hour massage will set you back around $50-60.

Pure Relaxation

If we had our way, we’d come back to this hotel just for a day of relaxation. I’d say that if you could swing it, come in the night before and get to bed early. Get up and go see the Taj, return to the hotel, have breakfast, and then spend the rest of the day in this amazing place. As a hotel guest you have free access to the locker rooms, pools, Jacuzzis, and other general areas. Only the services come at an extra charge.
