BUSINESS CLASS DEAL: US to Europe $1100 Round Trip

When it rains it pours. Apparently, that also applies to airfare deals. In addition to all the great deals
we’ve seen to start 2019, Air Canada decided to join in on the fun.

If you’re lucky enough to snag one of these deals, April is a great time to visit Europe before tourist season kicks in. Also worth noting, shoulder seasons are always best since you won’t be freezing yourself nor sweating profusely.

Flights are available from several major gateways including Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle.
There appears to be good availability through March and scattered availability in April and May. The
cheapest flights appear to be to Dublin, Madrid, and Copenhagen, though other cities such as London, Amsterdam, Paris, and Rome can be had from $1,300.

It is important to note that these book into R fare class, which does not earn miles, but hey, a deal is still a deal. This is Air Canada’s upgrade fare bucket, so hold off on making any non-refundable plans until confirming that these will be honored.

  2. Booked 2 pax lax cdg for $3K in May. AC wont assign seats as its booked in R class. “Call Expedia and tell them to change the booking class to E”. I give this a 50/50 to live.

    • Rule number one. You NEVER call the airline!! If we all call the airline when these things happen I give it a zero percent chance to live :(. Seats are the least of your concerns when you score a good deal 🙂

        • Usually I give it a couple of days. From that point onward, you’re USUALLY good to go, but you never know.

      • Mea culpa! Will never call/text/IM/tweet again when I see an error fare. Thanks for the advice. First time landing an error (or maybe near error) fare.

    • Booked EWR-DUB July 11-22 for $1230 per person. Booked into R class and it won’t let me select seats. When is it safe to call AC to request seats? Traveling with 2 kids, so it would be nice to get seats together…

      • worst case scenario they assign you at the gate and ask some other to move around. That’s the problem with fares like this … they always come with asterisks.

    • Did you try a different star alliance website perhaps? Maybe it’ll show up there?
