Review, Four Points LAX Airport

Two days before we left for Havana, I realized that I hadn’t yet booked our accommodations for our overnight in LAX. Our flight landed at 9:30 pm into LAX and left at 8:55 am the next morning. Luckily, we found a great deal at $89 a night at the Four Points LAX airport.

The shuttle service is continuous and non-stop 24 hours to and from the airport, so just head out of the baggage claim area and look for the red “Hotel Shuttles†sign. The shuttle will make a continuous loop, so just flag them down and you’re good to go.

The lobby was pretty standard and nonplussed, so no photos there. The check in was also very short yet professional, and we were informed that because of our Platinum status we were upgraded to a Junior Suite (always appreciated).

NOTE: We were given a room in the West Tower, even numbered rooms. If you want to be away from the airplane noise, choose either the EAST tower or an ODD numbered room. The west faces the airport, and even numbered rooms have views of the airport. Great for plane watching, not great for sleeping.

The suite was large, with a sitting room off the right hand side…

The TV was situated directly over the desk, which always is a little strange for me. If someone is working at the desk, you’re technically staring at them while they work. Kinda awkward, no?

There was a little hallway with extra closet, which had a connecting door in case you’ve got guests you want to invite in through your closet.

Finally, the bathroom was four points standard, with faux marble countertops,

Since we knew that we would have breakfast service on board the plane, we opted for the free points at check-in. The breakfast area was just off to the left hand side as you entered the hotel.

As we headed down to check out, we found out the shuttle had just left, so it would be another 20 minutes for the shuttle to come back. We opted for a cheap LYFT to the airport so we could hurry up and be on our way.

The Four Points LAX is a clean, cheap, and easily accessible option from the LAX airport. If what you’re looking for is a comfortable, no frills experience on an overnight at LAX, don’t hesitate to sleep here.

Now, off to more interesting things in the Havana Inaugural flight!
