Greetings from Havana, Cuba!

Greetings from AMAZING Havana, Cuba!

Over the past few days, there has been a lot of talk on some of the blogs all over the web (not just on boarding area) about how Cuba sucks. I mean, I won’t sugar coat it, people have been saying some pretty harsh things.

But, as we’re sitting in our room with free wifi (and FAST wifi), sipping on a 50 cent mojito and eating homemade chocolate for $1, I can’t help but disagree with every single one.

It’s kinda like getting your news from only one media outlet, sometimes you need a different perspective!

We flew down on the Alaska Inaugural flight and will be posting about that shortly. We’re also staying at the Four Points Sheraton, which could not be staffed by friendlier people and the facilities are awesome.

The dinners have been spectacular, the people amazing, the souvenirs cheap, and the cigars and rum plentiful.

If what you just read is different that anything you may have read or thought before, I thoroughly encourage you to follow us over the next few days and open your minds. I’m so glad that we came, and I’m really sad that it took this many years to get here.
