Earn Hawaiian miles at Old Navy, Lowes, and Whole Foods

There’s a reason that we subscribe to a bunch of different airline and hotel chains’ emails. Because you never know when an interesting promotion is going to pop up that you might otherwise miss out on. This week showed us exactly that.

And now for something a little off the beaten path…

Hawaiian Airlines, based in (you guessed it…) Honolulu, offers a ton of flights between Hawaii and the mainland, but also Hawaii and Australia, Asia, and beyond. They also offer extremely consistent and reliable service between the Hawaiian islands themselves, offering virtually endless connections between most of the major airports on the island state.

Hawaiian airlines aren’t the most convenient miles to earn, nor is it the most convenient airline to fly, but I’m a big proponent of earning as many miles as possible on all sorts of airlines, especially if I wasn’t going to earn any miles anyway (this might explain why I have about 64,000 AeroMexico kilometers stashed away waiting for a rainy day).

Hawaiian Airlines just launched a promotion where if you registered your Visa or American Express card and shop at Whole Foods, for every $1 you spend you’ll earn 1 mile! It looks like currently they’re offering this promotion with not only Whole Foods, but also with Old Navy and Lowe’s Home Improvement.

While not a game changer by any means, earning miles for doing something that you were going to do normally is huge. We shop at Whole Foods every so often, and I know that I’ve been spotted at a Lowe’s once or twice before buying some gift cards (I’m looking at you #AmexPerks) so this does have the potential to be lucrative promotion for some people, especially those who love organic foods or who are doing a home remodel. Just imagine earning some free flights for doing a home reno, or for getting your kids back to school clothes, or even just for eating healthy.

We’ve signed up our main American Express card, and hopefully we’ll start racking up miles bit by bit over the next few days, months, and years. To register just follow this link here.

Has anyone flown on Hawaiian Airlines before? Have you redeemed miles with them for a long haul trip? Let us know below!

  1. I’ve been trying to register a card for weeks now but all I get is, “We’re sorry, but this feature is currently unavailable.”

    • Do you have your card registered at any other type of mileage earning website?

      • It wouldn’t even let me get to that point. After I click Register a Card, I get the message right away.
