Alaska Airlines giving MVP status to Amazon Employees!

Airlines often try and work out special deals for people in certain cities or certain companies to drive business. Delta ran a special Seattle promotion for status last year, and I’m sure that something new will come around this year too.

Not one to be left out of the fun, Alaska Airlines is launching a special promotion targeted to Amazon employees; not just in Seattle, but anywhere there’s an Amazon employee.

Here’s the text:

Welcome Amazon employees!
Whether you’re traveling for a work project or escaping on a relaxing vacation, we’d like to get you on the fast track to elite status and award travel with bonus miles and an MVP status offer.

Just sign up below, using your amazon.com email address, and we’ll get you registered for our special offer.

Once you’ve registered, here’s what you’ll earn for flights taken through March 31, 2018:

Fly Earn

1 round trip 1,000 bonus miles
2 round trips MVP® status, plus a head start on MVP Gold
3 round trips 5,000 bonus miles

That’s awesome! This is valid for both new AND existing mileage plan accounts. After your 2nd flight you get 20,000 Elite Qualifying Miles, so really you’re halfway to Gold! Good, as a reference, requires 40,000 miles. The 1k and 5k bonuses are for redeemable miles, not qualifying miles.

Note, that you’ve got to fly these flights by March 31, 2018 to qualify. There are no mileage restrictions meaning that you can fly a round trip to Portland, Oregon from Seattle and have it count for the bonus. 6,000 bonus miles and 20,000 qualifying miles, yes please!

So… do you work at Amazon? Do you know someone who does? This is an awesome chance to earn status!

Come to think of it, I’m gonna write Alaska and see if they would honor this for my company too!

Are you able to take advantage of this offer?
